Terms of Service
Draft · revision 2026-10-06
Effective date (proposed): upon public launch. Product: Vidi.
1. The service
Vidi is an interactive study platform: lessons, exercises, quizzes, visualizers, spaced repetition, and progress sync, built from published course materials (launch content: MATH2015 — linear algebra + probability).
2. Eligibility / age
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you are 13–17, you may use Vidi only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. Vidi is not directed at children under 13. Accounts for users under 13 will be closed. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
Provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; do not share credentials. We may suspend accounts showing abuse or credential sharing. You may delete your account at any time from account settings (see Subscription Terms for billing effects).
4. Trial and paid plans
Access beyond the free trial requires a paid subscription. Trial terms are disclosed before signup (see Trial Disclosure) and billing terms are in the Subscription Terms, which form part of this agreement.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: copy or redistribute Vidi's content or software except as the service allows; attempt to disrupt the service; upload unlawful or infringing content; use automated means to scrape the service; or misrepresent affiliation with Vidi.
6. Intellectual property
Vidi, its content, visualizers, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Your subscription grants a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for personal study. Content you upload (e.g., past exams) remains yours; you grant us a license to process it to provide the service (e.g., generating quizzes from your uploads).
7. No academic affiliation
Vidi is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university or institution. Study results are not guaranteed; Vidi supplements, not replaces, your coursework.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free operation or specific academic outcomes.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law (including EU consumer rights).
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in advance where required. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. You may stop using Vidi and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law and disputes
[TO BE CONFIRMED: governing law, jurisdiction, and dispute-resolution procedure. EU consumers retain mandatory protections of their home country.]
